ARTEMIS 2 is a useful aid for radio listeners: it allows to compare real-time spectra (from SDR waterfall for example) with those found in archives by comparison of the properties (such as frequency, bandwidth, modulation …) and verifying it through a sample image. A variety of filters allows you to narrow your search, facilitating the identification of unknown signals.

    Here is a wish for whenever you have time. I’ve used 2.0.1 recently to try and ID a signal, and one thing stood out. The user interface (the main graphical interface) was too big and un-resizable compared to 1.4.0. If you could redesign the interface it to make it smaller, more compact?

    Let’see what others, including you, have to to say about that, because if I’m the only one that has a problem with the window size then forget it :)


    • Thanks for your suggestion. Right now Artemis has some problems with very high resolutions like 3840×2160 and it’s impossible to resize the form. Now I’m working on two main things (for the next updated version):

      1) Solve (ASAP) some weird issue due to resolution incompatibility.
      2) Take autocorrelation functions into account ( with related search form)

      • Hi Marco and thanks for considering my request to resize the interface :)

        I do not have the “very high resolutions 3840×2160” problem. At least I don’t think I do. My res is 1366 x 768.

        I did a quick Photoshop job to illustrate that the interface can be reduced without loosing anything.

        from 928 x 688 pixels (32,74 x 24,27 cm)
        to 724 x 558 pixels (25,54 x 19,69 cm)

        And it is imaginable that it could be reduced even more.

        Note that:

        – Fonts have remained the same size as before.
        – Noting has been subtracted except the redundant “Tot. Records: 221”, as it is already mentioned in the loading confirmation “Successfully loaded 221 signal records.”

      • (!) Just dawn on me. The rtl1090 ads-b decoding, is a great example of how alot of information can be packed into a small window…

    I just added some ACF values to SIGIDWIKI.
    Please, can you test that everything fits OK in ARTEMIS?.

    When ready, I will try to add as many ACF values as possible.

    I have detected unknown signal at 2.4 GHz which is not Wi-Fi, Dect phone, Bluetooth.
    The signal transmission in vertical line not in horizontal line.

    I need expert opinion and help:
    1. Signal analysis ( decode the header information ).
    I know for sure it is not Wi-Fi, bluetooth, dect phone.
