Project: ARTEMIS

artemis new logo - CopyWHAT IS ARTEMIS?

ARTEMIS 2 is a useful aid for radio listeners: it allows to compare real-time spectra (from SDR waterfall for example) with those found in archives by comparison of the properties (such as frequency, bandwidth, modulation …) and verifying it through a sample image. A variety of filters allows you to narrow your search, facilitating the identification of unknown signals.

Look at the screenshots. Try it. ARTEMIS is a freeware tool!

    • This is an amazing project! If only it could also give you hints on what signal you are looking at, sort of, semi auto identification… it would be such a great tool for learning. Not saying that it’s not that already though! :) So, thanks!

  2. A brilliant piece of kit that makes identification of signals on the fly so much easier.
I did notice that the download currently supplied is V2.0.0 not the 2.0.1. according to the splash screen and update manager. Thanks to all for an extremely useful database.

  3. bonjour très bonne idée ce logiciel merci

  4. This is a fantastic companion to Sigidwiki. Helps to visualise and hear what signals should look and sound like when using an SDR. Great work.

Only one comment. Any chance of adding in a sound card selection? This would help when testing decoders.

    • Hi Paeroa68,
thanks for your opinion. Thank you also for your very useful suggestion: I’ve added your idea about audio card selection in my “TODO” board/list. For sure, this feature will be available in the next update.

      Regards,
      Marco

  5. Nice work. Anyone have any luck running this on Linux/wine?

    • Does not seem to work in wine :( A linux version or an alternative would certainly be nice. to have…
